One-way base fare

The FrontRunner one-way fare cash payment is good on FrontRunner commuter rail with transfer to all buses, UVX, TRAX, and S-Line for two hours from the time of purchase if the ticket is purchased at the TVM. Fares that are purchased with FAREPAY Card have a transfer window of two hours after the first tap. Fares purchased on the Transit app are valid when activated. The fare applies to passengers ages 6-64. This fare is distance-based with a base fare of $2.50 for travel to one station plus $0.60 for each additional station. The maximum fare from Provo to Ogden is $9.70 one way. Note that passengers traveling through the Vineyard and North Temple stations will not be charged for an additional station. FrontRunner does not operate in the Free Fare Zone and passengers are required to pay the FrontRunner base fare. Purchase FrontRunner one-way fare prior to boarding at a ticket vending machine or on the Transit app.

FAREPAY Reloadable Card: Beginning August 18, 2024, FAREPAY Cards will use a fare cap instead of a discount. The daily fare cap on premium services will be $10 a day. The weekly cap is $40.

Until August 18, 2024, FAREPAY cardholders save up to 20 percent off FrontRunner, 20 percent off local bus, TRAX, S-Line and Express Bus fares. FrontRunner savings vary between 17 and 20 percent, depending on distance traveled. Save 18 percent off Express Bus fare. FAREPAY cards cannot be used on Paratransit. The FrontRunner reduced one-way fare cash payment is good on FrontRunner commuter rail with transfer to all buses, UVX, TRAX, and S-Line for two hours from the time of purchase if the ticket is purchased at the TVM. Fares that are purchased with FAREPAY Cards have a transfer window of two hours after the first tap. Fares purchased on the Transit app are valid when activated. This fare applies to passengers ages 65 and older, valid Medicare card holders, youth ages 6-18, and persons with qualifying disabilities or qualifying income. For information on qualifying for a reduced fare, contact 801-RIDE-UTA. This fare is distance based with a base fare of $1.25 for travel to one station plus $0.30 for each additional station. The maximum reduced fare from Provo to Ogden is $4.85 one way. Purchase FrontRunner senior and reduced one-way fare prior to boarding.
